Pockets of Cool is the story of Detroit today.  It is a campaign designed to change the way the public perceives our great city and all of it’s pockets of cool.  We are telling the story through our website detroitpocketsofcool.com, video emails, social media and cross promotions with our partners.  This is where the internships come in. 

We are experts in film production, online marketing, writing, and graphic design.  But we have a BIG story to tell and the web is endless space. 

We need teams of students to shoot the videos, edit the videos, market and write the social media that will involve, engage, and woo the public to interact with our unique brand of cool. 

Be a part of this experience as we share our expertise with your mastery of the web and tell the ongoing, entertaining stories that are today’s Detroit.

We are looking for intern candidates interested in the following disciplines:

•       Video shooting
•       Video editing
•       Research
•      Writing
•       Marketing and promotion
•       Social media
•       Public Relations
•       Event planning
•       Information technology

The candidates we are looking for will possess the following:

•       Senior undergrads and graduate students
•       Good communication and written skills
•      Comfortable working with corporate executives as well as ordinary citizens with professionalism and respect
•       Strong creative skills in discovering the art in everyday life
•       Love of the city of Detroit
