Forum Short Film Competition

Forum on Law, Culture & Society: Short Film Competition The Forum on Law, Culture & Society is currently accepting submissions for our inaugural Short Film Competition on a legal theme. Winning shorts will be screened during the annual Forum Film Festival in New York City in October 2012. Learn more about the Forum Film Festival.

While this is a legal-themed film competition, we want you to have fun, be creative, and take some chances on new approaches. Any genre goes—musical, documentary, thriller, drama, romantic comedy, to name a few. We are looking for films dealing with law and legal issues, not just a police drama or murder mystery. Awards for Best Short, 2nd and 3rd place, Best Screenplay and Audience Favorite Winning shorts will be screened during the Forum’s annual Film Festival in New York City in October 2012. Each year, the Forum Film Festival features renowned filmmakers, actors, writers, journalists, public intellectuals, and members of the legal profession. The Film Festival also attracts overflowing and diverse crowds of film enthusiasts, which provides a great platform for showcasing your winning work. More prizes to be announced.
