Making a Call Sheet For You

I've had a lot of frustrations learning how things are done on a film set. Even small sets... like 3 or 4 people. Or documentary shoots, or even just a simple interview.

Scheduling and making sure everyone is on the same page is so important. It's one of the most overlooked things on small productions. I used to send out simple emails with all the details I thought were important to everyone that was supposed to be on the shoot, but that has failed me so many times.

So, when I started shooting on bigger sets I started to get call sheets the day before the shoots. This was the answer!!! I made my own, and it was ok... but then it just didn't look right and it was missing information so I googled for one. I used it for a bit but still it wasn't easy enough to use.

It's been a while and I've been using one I found on google but always have wanted to replace it with something better.

Luckily, a few weeks ago right before a shoot that Lan Bui (of The Bui Brothers) and I did, he was complaining about the same thing. Same exact issue. So we thought about it and figured "everyone" must have this issue.

I'm happy to say, Lan just let me know he is about to release a free call sheet template that has been designed for everyone to easily use! I'm very excited about it because he is not asking for anything in return... it's just going to be free and public.

He just put up a questionnaire with four quick questions to help him finalize it, lets help him out because I think our feedback will be perfect:
