Central Michigan University is pleased to release the date of its annual Michigan Undergraduate and Graduate (MUG) Communication Conference as February 26, 2016.

We hope you can join us for a day of scholarly conversations including student paper panels (both graduate and undergraduate), a keynote address, and a roundtable discussion about attending graduate school. There is no submission fee for this conference and we encourage all to attend.

We are accepting both graduate and undergraduate paper submissions. This conference is a wonderful opportunity for students to prepare their scholarly work for professional presentation. Awards will be given to the top student papers in each category. Submissions will be accepted through December 20, 2015.

Submission Requirements:
  • All epistemological and methodological approaches are welcome.
  • Papers can be empirical, theoretical, rhetorical, or critical in nature.
  • Papers can (a) offer a review of literature ending in proposed hypotheses/research question or (b) report an original research study.
  • Coauthored papers are welcome (at least one author must be an undergraduate student or a graduate student).
  • Submissions (maximum 25 pages) should include a title page with author(s) name(s), contact information, and paper title.
