Cinetopia International Film Festival Internship

The Cinetopia International Film Festival is seeking interns for the upcoming 2016 festival.
The Cinetopia International Film Festival is an annual film festival that takes place in Detroit and Ann Arbor every June.
This is an unpaid internship. For interns who live outside of Detroit and Ann Arbor, a gas stipend will be provided for travel. In order to be considered, all interns must be available June 3rd through June 12th.

Hours:
For internships that run March 1st - June 12th, you will work 5-15 hours each week. Expect increased hours as the festival approaches. During the festival, interns will work full time.

Internship Positions:
  • Graphic Design Intern
    Description: As a member of the Design team, the Graphic Design Support interns are responsible for fulfillment of print signage/creative requests. You must maintain Festival identity and brand guidelines at all times.
    Requirements: Creative, professional, thorough, and detail-oriented. Communication/Marketing background a plus. A minimum of two years in print design and production is preferred. Crucial
    computer skills include Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Must have a working knowledge of print and web production. Portfolio of previous work requested. Working before the Festival.
  • Production Intern
    Description: Production interns are on the ground during all the productions of the festival, including the festival itself, as well as all outdoor screenings and live events, assisting in all aspects of the production, from setting up signs to answering patron questions to handing out flyers. In dates leading up to the festival, production interns will assist in the office readying a variety of aspects of the festival.
    Requirements: Must be a highly motivated self-starter, able to work solo as well as part of a team. Must be comfortable working in fast-paced environments. Must be available at all festival events.
     
  • Print Traffic Intern
    Description: The Print Traffic Intern assists the Programming team with ensuring that all films are received, reach their proper venues, and are returned, all within a timely manner. They may assist the Programming team with other issues as they arise.
    Requirements: Reliable transportation, attention to detail, and excellent communication are required. Working before, during, and after the Festival.
     
  • Social Media Intern
    Description: As a member of the Marketing team, the Social Media Intern will help to promote Cinetopia via social media. This intern will also help with social media by capturing photographs and video throughout the Festival to be posted on the Festival’s social media accounts.
    Requirements: Access to camera preferred but not required. Must be able to multi-task. Must be a strong writer who is able to write in the voice of the festival. Must be extremely proficient with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat. Working before and during the Festival.
  • Digital Media InternDescription: The Digital Media Intern will aid the Digital Marketing Specialist with maintaining and updating the Cinetopia website and troubleshooting any issues that arise. This intern will also assist with e-blasts and may assist the Social Media Intern with social media posting.
    Requirements: Must have experience with basic HTML and CSS and familiarity with Content Management Systems, particularly Wordpress. Must be extremely proficient with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat. Working before and during the festival.

  • Talent Services Intern
    Description: The Talent Services intern helps to organize housing, flight and transportation information for incoming guests, including filmmakers and crew. You will create detailed itineraries for each guest. During the festival, you’ll help guarantee that all visiting guests are accommodated and enjoying the festival. You will work closely with the Talent Services manager and team to ensure a wonderful experience for our guests.
    Requirements: Advanced spreadsheet and word processing knowledge is required. Attention to detail is essential. Working before and during the Festival.
