FOLCS International Short Film Competition

The FOLCS short film competition is a competition dedicated to filmmakers exploring the matters of law and justice in our society. Entrants are free to choose any subject in which the relationship between law, justice, and society can be fashioned into a unique visual story.

All genres are permitted and the run time should not exceed more than 20 minutes.
Finalist shorts will be screened at the FOLCS Award Night during the Annual FOLCS Film Festival in New York City in Fall 2016.
The FOLCS Awards Night opens with a red carpet for our attending filmmakers and includes an awards presentation and reception. In addition, the audience has the opportunity to vote on which short will receive the Audience Favorite Award.

Awards: Best Short, Best Screenplay, Outstanding Woman Filmmaker, Young Filmmaker (18 years and under), and Audience Favorite. 
Winner of Best Short Award will also receive an InkTip Script Listing.
Deadlines:
  • Early- May 31st, 2016; $20 entry fee
  • Regular- July 30th, 2016; $30 entry fee
  • Late- August 12th, 2016; $40 entry fee
