Film Casting Internship/PA Opportunity
New York-based production company is seeking a casting intern or production assistant during the month of October.
If there is an applicant who is very strong, we are open to hiring them as an PA for $10/hr for up to 3 weeks for our lead casting director's scouting trip to Detroit. It all is pending application and qualifications.
Please note that while this opportunity does not qualify for a for-credit internship in the Dept. of Communication, it may provide valuable experience and certainly credit on your resume.
QUALIFICATIONS OF AN IDEAL CANDIDATE
Strong research and creative thinking skills - Must be professional, committed and organized - Must be able to follow through with completing assignments and tasks given - Must have interest and some knowledge of actors, films, models, fashion and pop culture - Must have basic knowledge of digital photography and video • Knowledge of editing programs such as Adobe Premiere or Final Cut a plus!
For the unpaid internship, it would be 10-15 hours a week for 2-3 days assisting the casting director and an assistant. The intern can list their work with us on their resume, but this won't be credited in the film as that is per the studio's discretion.
