Fusion Doc Challenge

Registration for the 2016 Fusion Doc Challenge is now open.

How it works

• Register your team and choose a 5 day time slot for filming
• On your start date, log into theaudienceawards.com and receive the theme for the challenge and a choice of two assigned documentary genres
• You will have 120 hours to make and upload your submission

The 12 films with the highest scores will premiere at the Fusion Doc Challenge screening at Slamdance in January 2017

Prizes 

• FUSION Award — $1,500 
• Doc Challenge Award — $1,000
• Best Score Award — One music license for a film with a budget up to $1 million will be awarded by Filmstro ($1,999 value)
• 1st Place — $500 plus one music license for a film with a budget up to $1 million will be awarded by Filmstro ($1,999 value)
• 2nd Place — $300
• 3rd Place — $150

If you are chosen as one of the competition's 12 finalists, your film will premiere at the FUSION Doc Challenge Screening at Slamdance in Park City, Utah from January 20-26. Each finalist team will receive a $100 travel stipend and two all-access passes to attend the festival. Winners will be announced immediately following the screening. The top 12 films, plus an additional eight films, will receive distribution across all of FUSION TV network and its online/mobile distribution channels

Film time limit: 4-7 minutes
Registration deadline: November 14th, 12pm
Time slots: November 10-14 or November 14-18
Regular registration: October 6th, $69
Late registration: October 27th, $79
Extended registration: November 14th, $89
